ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a tool called CogCheck, which is a self-administered assessment designed to predict the risk of delirium after heart surgery. Delirium is a condition that can cause confusion and changes in awareness, and it can be a concern for patients after surgery. The goal of this study is to see if the CogCheck app can help identify patients who may be at higher risk for this problem so that doctors can take steps to help prevent it.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 60 years old, be scheduled for elective heart surgery, and have a good understanding of the German language. They also need to provide written consent to participate. The study is currently looking for volunteers, and those who join can expect to use the CogCheck app to assess their cognitive abilities before their surgery. This could help improve care and outcomes for patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
