ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to measure intracranial pressure (ICP), which is the pressure inside the skull. Researchers want to see if they can detect ICP using a special camera that takes pictures of the eye, specifically the area where the optic nerve enters the eye. By measuring the size of the arteries and veins in the eye and calculating a ratio, they plan to see if this non-invasive method can provide accurate readings compared to traditional methods that require surgery.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and in a hospital for reasons related to monitoring ICP. You should be awake and able to communicate. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and if you join, you can expect to have your eye examined using the retinal fundus scanner, which is a painless procedure. This study is important because it may lead to safer and easier ways to monitor ICP without the need for surgical procedures.
