ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the immune system reacts to kidney transplants, specifically looking at certain immune cells called T cells that can lead to rejection of the transplanted kidney. Researchers want to understand the unique patterns of these donor-reactive T cells before and after the transplant. They will collect samples from both the kidney tissue and the blood to see how these T cells behave and whether certain patterns are linked to signs of kidney rejection. The ultimate goal is to create a new tool that helps doctors predict and monitor immune responses to the transplant using blood tests.
To be eligible for this trial, you must be receiving a kidney transplant at the participating center. Unfortunately, if your donor has not been evaluated by the center, you won't be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to provide blood and tissue samples, which will help researchers learn more about how your immune system responds to the transplant. This could lead to better ways to prevent kidney rejection in the future.
