ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is examining how well patients recover and regain function after undergoing surgery to treat bone tumors, specifically types like osteosarcoma and chondrosarcoma. The study will compare two groups: one group will receive either a bone graft or an artificial device during surgery, while the other group will have surgery that includes regenerative techniques to help heal the bone. Researchers will follow participants for three years to see how well their bones heal and how much function they regain.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 4 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of a bone tumor. They should be able to read and understand English. Patients who are very ill or weigh less than 17 kilograms cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect regular check-ups over the three years to monitor your recovery and function after surgery. This trial aims to improve understanding of how different surgical techniques affect healing in patients with bone tumors.
