ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is examining how well patients with dyslipidemia, a condition characterized by abnormal cholesterol levels, are following European and French guidelines for managing their condition. High levels of LDL cholesterol (often referred to as "bad" cholesterol) can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. The study is taking place at the University Hospital of Montpellier in France and is looking at patients admitted to the Diabetes-Nutrition unit. It aims to gather information about their cholesterol levels, existing cardiovascular conditions, and how well they are being treated with medications like statins, which help lower cholesterol levels.
To participate in this study, you need to be over 18 years old and hospitalized for at least 24 hours, with blood samples taken during that time to measure your cholesterol levels. However, if you have very high triglyceride levels (another type of fat in the blood), you won't be eligible to join. If you do participate, you can expect to undergo a simple evaluation of your health and treatment plan, which could help improve how dyslipidemia is managed in patients like you in the future.
