ClinConnect Summary
The Australian Colonic Large Sessile Lesion Endoscopic Resection Study is looking at a procedure called endoscopic resection, which is used to remove large growths in the colon, specifically sessile polyps that are 20 mm or larger. This study is currently recruiting participants who have been referred to have these types of polyps removed. It's important for those interested to be able to provide informed consent, meaning they understand the study and agree to take part.
If you're between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a large polyp or a similar tumor, you might be eligible to participate. During the study, participants will undergo the endoscopic procedure, which is done using a camera and instruments inserted through the rectum, and their progress will be monitored. This research aims to gather information that could help improve treatments for people with colon polyps in the future. If you have questions or want to learn more about participating, it's a good idea to talk with your healthcare provider.
