ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying epilepsy, a condition that affects about 1 in 100 people in the U.S. The researchers aim to better understand seizures and find effective treatments for individuals whose epilepsy does not respond well to medication. They are looking for both adults and children aged 8 years and older who have been diagnosed with or are suspected to have epilepsy to participate in this important research.
Participants can expect to undergo a variety of tests and evaluations, including physical exams, medical history reviews, questionnaires, and different types of brain scans to measure brain activity. Some participants may need to stay in the hospital for a few weeks, during which their medication may be adjusted. If you or a loved one is interested in participating, please note that individuals with serious medical conditions that could make participation unsafe, or those unable to travel to the study site, may not be eligible. This study is ongoing, and the researchers hope to learn more about how to improve care for people living with epilepsy.
