ClinConnect Summary
The Early Tracking of Childhood Health Determinants (ETCHED) Study is looking to understand how various factors during pregnancy and childhood can affect a child's health, particularly concerning diabetes, obesity, and fatty liver disease. Researchers are interested in how a mother’s environment, lifestyle, and health conditions during pregnancy may influence her child's growth from birth all the way to adulthood. This study is particularly focused on American Indian, Alaska Native, and Hispanic pregnant women and their children.
If you're a pregnant woman aged 18 or older and identify as American Indian or Hispanic, you may be eligible to participate. During the study, you'll have several visits during your pregnancy, and then both you and your child will continue to have check-ups and provide samples for several years. Your child will be followed until they turn 18, allowing researchers to gather valuable information about long-term health outcomes. This is a great opportunity to contribute to important research that could help improve health in future generations!
