ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a procedure called autologous ovarian tissue transplantation, which may help women who have experienced infertility due to chemotherapy or radiation treatments for cancer. The goal is to see if transplanting previously frozen ovarian tissue can improve fertility in women diagnosed with primary ovarian insufficiency, a condition where the ovaries do not function properly.

To participate, women need to have had their ovarian tissue frozen before and must be in good health, with the approval of their oncologist. The trial is looking for women between the ages of 18 and 40 who are considering pregnancy and have ovarian insufficiency. However, women with certain high-risk medical conditions, a history of specific cancers, or those who are currently pregnant will not be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo a surgical procedure to transplant their ovarian tissue, and the study will monitor the safety and effectiveness of this approach. Overall, this trial offers a hopeful option for women facing infertility after cancer treatments.
