ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program designed to help mid-life individuals improve their decision-making skills, particularly when it comes to waiting for rewards. Many people struggle with making healthy choices because they find it hard to delay gratification—meaning they prefer short-term rewards over long-term benefits. This program aims to teach participants how to manage their choices better, which can lead to healthier behaviors and improved overall well-being.
To be eligible for the study, participants must live in certain neighborhoods in Baltimore, Maryland, and be willing to commit to a 5-7 week training program. However, individuals with severe substance use disorders or significant medical and mental health conditions, such as traumatic brain injury or severe depression, cannot participate. Those who join can expect to engage in activities that strengthen their cognitive skills, which may help them make better decisions in their daily lives. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders between the ages of 18 to 65.
