ClinConnect Summary
The Swiss Paediatric Airway Cohort (SPAC) is a study focused on understanding respiratory issues like asthma, wheezing, and cough in children and adolescents in Switzerland. Researchers are looking to gather information on how these conditions affect young patients, how they can be diagnosed, and what treatments are most effective. Currently, there are over 4,300 young participants from various clinics across Switzerland, and the study includes collecting information through questionnaires and medical records to track their health over time.
To join the study, children and teens aged 0 to 16 who have visited a pediatric lung clinic for breathing problems can participate, as long as they live in Switzerland. Parents or older teens will need to provide consent for participation. Throughout the study, families will regularly fill out questionnaires to help researchers understand how these respiratory issues impact daily life and treatment. This study aims to create a better understanding of common breathing problems in kids, ultimately improving care and treatment options. For more information, you can visit the study's website.
