ClinConnect Summary
The SURVIBIO study is looking to find reliable early markers, called biomarkers, for a serious condition known as acute mesenteric ischemia, which occurs when blood flow to the intestines is blocked. Researchers will analyze biological samples from patients who have experienced this condition and compare them to samples from healthy individuals. These samples will be stored in a special library and examined by experts in various research institutions across Europe.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have acute abdominal pain that requires a specific type of scan called an injected CT scan. You must also be admitted to Beaujon or Bichat hospitals and give your written consent to join the study. If you are selected, you will help researchers learn more about this condition, which could lead to better diagnosis and treatment in the future.
