ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of kayak ergometer training on individuals with spinal cord injuries. The main goal is to see how this type of training can improve trunk control, overall heart health, and independence in daily activities. Participants will be divided into two groups: one group will do kayak training, while the other will focus on specific exercises to help with trunk control. Both groups will train five times a week for six weeks.
To be eligible for this trial, individuals must have a spinal cord injury that is classified as below the C8 level and have had their injury for at least three months but not more than a year. The study is open to all genders and aims to recruit people who can participate safely, meaning they should not have other neurological issues, serious orthopedic problems, or certain heart conditions that could interfere with training. This trial offers a chance for participants to engage in a unique training method that could help them gain more control over their body and improve their quality of life.
