ClinConnect Summary
The Dutch National Prospective EMR Cohort trial is studying the long-term effects of a treatment called Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) on large flat or sessile polyps in the colon, which are growths that can sometimes lead to cancer. The trial will follow participants for 18 months after their EMR treatment to see how well this approach works in preventing future issues with these types of polyps.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be adults over 18 years old with a flat or sessile polyp larger than 20 millimeters. They need to agree in writing to take part and cannot be involved in other competing studies. All genders are welcome to participate, and the trial is currently looking for more people to join. If you enroll, you can expect to have regular check-ups to monitor your health following the EMR procedure. This study aims to gather valuable information that could help improve treatment strategies for patients with similar conditions in the future.
