ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Activating Cancer Communities Through an Exercise Strategy for Survivors" (ACCESS), is exploring how exercise can help cancer survivors improve their physical and mental health. Researchers know that staying active can reduce the risk of cancer coming back, help manage pain, and decrease feelings of anxiety and depression. Unfortunately, many cancer survivors aren't getting enough exercise to enjoy these benefits. This trial aims to change that by offering a structured, 12-week exercise program in Halifax, designed specifically for cancer survivors.
To participate, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a cancer diagnosis, whether they are currently undergoing treatment or have finished treatment within the last five years. Participants should be able to engage in some light physical activity and must be willing to commit to the program. This is a great opportunity for cancer survivors to not only enhance their well-being but also to connect with others in a supportive community. If you or someone you know might be interested, this trial could provide valuable resources and guidance for a healthier future.
