ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well radiation treatment works for patients with cancer and some non-cancerous conditions. Researchers want to gather information about the outcomes of patients who have received or considered radiation therapy since the year 2000. They will compare this data with a national database to see how different treatments affect patients with similar conditions. The goal is to understand better how radiation helps both in curing cancer and in providing relief for symptoms in patients with serious illnesses.
Anyone aged 65 to 159 who has had radiation treatment or was evaluated for it for either cancer or benign conditions could be eligible to participate. This includes patients who chose not to have radiation and instead received other treatments, like surgery or medication, at UT Southwestern Medical Center. If you join the study, you can expect to provide some information about your treatment and health outcomes, which will help improve future care for cancer patients. Importantly, there are no specific exclusions, meaning almost anyone who meets the age and treatment criteria can participate.
