ClinConnect Summary
This is an observational research study that tests a new imaging method called spectrally resolved third-harmonic generation (srTHG) microscopy to measure oxygen levels and other properties of human red blood cells. Researchers at National Taiwan University Hospital in Taipei want to see if analyzing light signals from blood can quantify oxygenation and provide clues about tumor-related biology, with the goal of helping understand early disease processes. It does not involve testing a drug or implant.
Who can join? Adults aged 20 and older who are healthy volunteers. The study plans to enroll about 100 people, and participants are invited rather than recruited openly. If you participate, you can expect to contribute blood samples and undergo srTHG imaging and related analyses, with study activities spanning up to about two years. This study is not regulated by the FDA for drugs or devices. Location is National Taiwan University Hospital in Taipei.
