ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how vitamin D levels affect people with sarcoidosis, a condition that can cause inflammation in various organs. The researchers want to see if giving vitamin D supplements to patients who have low levels of this vitamin can improve their condition. In this study, half of the participants with low vitamin D will receive supplements, while the other half will receive a placebo (a harmless pill that looks like the supplement but doesn't contain any active ingredients). There will also be a group of patients who have normal vitamin D levels to compare the results.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be in stable health, meaning they haven't been hospitalized or visited the emergency room in the last three months, and they should not have any active infections, other inflammatory diseases, or cancer. Participants can expect regular check-ups and will be monitored throughout the study to see how their vitamin D levels and sarcoidosis symptoms change. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders aged 18 and older.
