ClinConnect Summary
The Belgian Central Sleep Apnea REgistry is a clinical trial that aims to understand what influences the treatment choices and adherence to treatment in patients with central sleep apnea. Central sleep apnea is a condition where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep due to issues in the brain's signals to breathe. This study will involve all participants receiving standard care while researchers gather information to improve treatment options and compliance for patients with this condition.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have a specific level of sleep apnea determined through a sleep study. They should also be able to give written consent to participate. However, individuals with mental disabilities that would prevent them from understanding the study details cannot take part. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive routine care for your condition while helping researchers learn more about what helps patients stick to their treatment plans.
