ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the best way for patients with thyroid cancer to prepare for a radioiodine scan or treatment. Patients usually have two options before the scan: they can either receive an injection of a medication called Thyrogen® or stop taking their thyroid medication, Eltroxin®. This study will observe how these two methods affect the body’s metabolism in patients who choose one option over the other.
To participate in this study, you must have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and need a radioiodine scan or treatment. However, if you cannot cooperate with blood tests or radioiodine therapy, you won’t be eligible. If you decide to join, you will be monitored to see how your body responds depending on the method you choose. This research will help doctors understand which preparation method might be better for patients with thyroid cancer in the future.
