ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Personalizing Mediterranean Diet in Children," is studying how different diets affect blood sugar levels in healthy children. The goal is to learn how to create personalized diet plans based on each child's unique response to food. Researchers will collect information from blood tests, personal habits, and gut bacteria to develop a tailored Mediterranean diet that could help prevent health issues like obesity and other diseases later in life.
To be eligible for this study, children must be healthy, between 6 and 11 years old, and at a specific stage of development known as Tanner 1. Unfortunately, children with recent serious illnesses, certain chronic health conditions, or who are taking specific medications won't be able to participate. If selected, children will have the chance to take part in a program that involves using a smartphone app to track their diet and health, helping researchers gather important information to create these personalized diet recommendations.
