ClinConnect Summary
The Alzheimer Prevention Trials (APT) Webstudy is designed to help researchers find and track people who may be at higher risk for developing Alzheimer's disease (AD) and dementia. The goal is to speed up the process of enrolling participants in future clinical trials that could lead to new treatments. If you're at least 50 years old and don't currently have dementia, you might be eligible to join this study.
Once you register, you'll participate in remote cognitive tests, which are simple assessments to check your memory and thinking skills over time. If the study identifies you as being at risk, you may also be referred for further testing to look for specific biological markers related to Alzheimer’s. Importantly, anyone can sign up for the APT Webstudy, but only those identified as at risk will proceed to the next steps. This trial is a great opportunity for individuals interested in contributing to research that could help prevent Alzheimer's disease in the future.
