ClinConnect Summary
The IVF Offspring Born in Guangzhou Cohort Study (IVF-BIG) is a research project aimed at understanding how early life experiences, especially those related to assisted reproductive technology (ART), can affect the health of mothers and their children in the long run. This study is gathering information about various factors, including the environment and lifestyle, that might influence health outcomes as these children grow up. Participants will also provide biological samples, like blood and tissue, to help with the research.
If you are a pregnant woman who is less than 20 weeks along, plans to give birth at the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center, and has conceived using assisted reproductive technology, you may be eligible to join this study. There are no specific exclusions, so if you meet the criteria, you can participate. As a participant, you can expect to share information about your health and lifestyle during pregnancy, as well as provide samples that will contribute to important research on maternal and child health. This study could help improve understanding of how early life factors impact health later on, benefiting future families.
