ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Patient Centered Simulation For Labor and Delivery," is focused on understanding how to improve women's experiences during childbirth. The study aims to see if simulating common, stressful situations that women might face during labor can help reduce their fear and anxiety about the delivery process. This is important because a positive childbirth experience can lead to better health outcomes for both mothers and babies, while negative experiences can create lasting fear and affect future deliveries.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be first-time pregnant women who are in their third trimester and planning to deliver at Wake Forest School of Medicine's OB/GYN department. Women who participate will engage in simulations designed to prepare them for what to expect during labor. The hope is that by doing this, they will feel more confident and less anxious when the time comes for delivery. If you or someone you know fits these criteria and is interested in participating, please keep an eye on when the study begins recruiting participants!
