ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how physical exercise, specifically sprint interval training, can help improve attention and memory in college students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Researchers believe that exercise might be a low-cost and low-risk treatment option for these students, offering benefits beyond just managing ADHD symptoms. They will compare the effects of exercise on students with ADHD to those without ADHD to see if exercise can lead to better focus and thinking skills right after physical activity.
To join the study, participants need to be between 18 and 29 years old and a student at the University of Wyoming or Laramie County Community College. However, those with certain health conditions, pregnant individuals, or those taking specific medications that could interfere with cognitive performance are not eligible. Participants can expect to engage in short bursts of intense exercise and will help researchers learn more about how regular physical activity could improve life for college students with ADHD. This research could lead to better treatment options that are safer and more convenient than current medications.
