ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how frailty affects patients who are having vascular surgery. Frailty refers to a state of increased vulnerability, which can make recovery from surgery more difficult. The researchers want to understand how frail patients do after surgeries such as aortic aneurysm repair, carotid artery surgery, and lower limb revascularization. This information will help improve care for future patients undergoing similar procedures.
The study is open to patients aged 65 to 74 who are scheduled for the surgeries mentioned above and are willing to provide consent to participate. If you join the study, you will be monitored during and after your surgery to track how well you recover. It's important to note that patients under 18, those who can't provide consent, or anyone deemed unable to follow the study requirements will not be eligible. This research aims to provide valuable insights into how different levels of frailty can influence surgical outcomes.
