ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of two different breathing exercises on heart health in postmenopausal women. The researchers want to see how well the new CardioBreath® App, which helps with breathing exercises, works compared to a traditional method called Inspiratory Muscle Training (IMT). Both methods aim to improve heart function by enhancing how our body regulates heart rate and blood flow. The focus is on women who are not currently active and have specific hormone levels indicating they are postmenopausal.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be women aged between 45 and 65 who have not had a menstrual period for at least a year and do not exercise regularly. Certain health conditions, like high blood pressure, diabetes, or obesity, might prevent someone from joining the trial. Participants in this study will engage in breathing exercises using either the app or the traditional method and will be monitored to see how these exercises affect their heart health. It's an exciting opportunity to explore new ways to improve cardiovascular health in a safe and supportive environment.
