ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called China Health Big Data, is looking at how well a special type of chest scan combined with a technology called QCT can measure bone health, belly fat, and liver fat in people during routine health check-ups. The goal is to better understand how common conditions like osteoporosis (weak bones), obesity (excess body fat), and liver steatosis (fatty liver) are among adults across China.
People between the ages of 30 and 90 who are having a low-dose chest CT scan as part of their health check may be eligible to join, as long as they are not pregnant and don’t have metal implants near the scan area. Participants will have their spine bone density, belly fat, and liver fat measured using existing scan data, which means no extra scans or procedures are needed. This study is currently recruiting volunteers from both men and women, and it aims to include a large number of people to get a clear picture of these health issues nationwide.
