ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well current tests for diagnosing Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) work, including a test that measures nitric oxide in the nose. PCD is a condition that affects the lungs and airways, making it harder for the body to clear mucus and fight infections. The goal of the study is to see if these diagnostic tests can help improve the care and treatment for patients suspected of having PCD.
If your child is over 2 years old and has been referred to a medical center for PCD testing, they may be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will undergo various diagnostic tests, and their experiences will help researchers understand how to better diagnose and manage this condition. It's important to note that children under 2 years old cannot join the study, and all participants must be able to understand and agree to the study procedures. If you’re considering this opportunity, you’ll be contributing to important research that could help many families facing PCD.
