ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a new treatment option for tennis elbow, also known as lateral epicondylitis. The researchers want to see if a special bioinductive patch, which is designed to help tendons heal and regrow, can improve recovery after surgery. Participants in the trial will be divided into two groups: one group will receive the usual surgical treatment, while the other group will receive the same surgery along with the bioinductive patch. The team will then monitor how well the patch works compared to surgery alone using ultrasound and other methods.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have been diagnosed with tennis elbow that hasn't improved with standard treatments like physical therapy or anti-inflammatory medications. However, those who have had previous surgery on the affected elbow cannot participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive either the standard surgery or the surgery with the bioinductive patch, and you’ll help researchers learn more about this potential new treatment.
