ClinConnect Summary
The Infant and Child European Cryoablation Project (ICECaP) is a clinical study that looks at how effective and safe a treatment called cryoablation is for children with soft tissue lesions. Cryoablation is a procedure that uses extreme cold to destroy unwanted tissue. This study aims to gather information about how this treatment is being used, its success rates, and any possible complications that may arise during the procedure.
Any child who is being considered for cryoablation treatment can participate in this study, regardless of whether the treatment is expected to be successful or not. There are no specific exclusions, which means almost all children who need this therapy are eligible. If your child joins the study, you can expect to help researchers learn more about this procedure, which could improve treatment options for other children in the future. The study is currently recruiting participants, so it’s a good opportunity to contribute to important medical research.
