ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Multistability: Perception is Inspired by Noise," is exploring how our brains interpret certain visual stimuli that can appear to change or be unstable, like moving patterns or the famous Necker's cube. Researchers are particularly interested in how tiny movements of our eyes, called micro-eye movements, influence what we see and how we understand these shifting images. By using advanced brain activity monitoring techniques, like EEG, the study aims to better understand how these visual perceptions occur without interrupting how participants naturally explore and perceive the images.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 55 years old and have normal or corrected vision. They also need to provide informed consent and undergo a medical examination beforehand. However, people with certain health issues, such as significant vision problems, neurological conditions, or those taking specific medications, cannot join the trial. Participants can expect to engage in visual tasks while their brain activity is monitored, helping scientists uncover more about how we perceive images that can change before our eyes.
