ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Exercise and Motor Learning After Stroke," is studying how exercise can help people who have had a stroke learn a new walking pattern. The trial is looking for participants who have experienced a stroke more than six months ago and meet certain health criteria. To be eligible, participants should be between 18 and 85 years old, able to walk without assistance, and have a specific heart rate and blood pressure range.
During the study, participants will be divided into two groups. One group will learn a new walking pattern using special visual feedback, while the other group will do the same task without any feedback. After learning, participants will be tested on how well they remember the new walking pattern right away and again the next day. The exercise group will also do a brief exercise after the first test to see if it helps them remember the pattern better later on. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to contribute to understanding how exercise can aid recovery after a stroke.
