ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new mobile health system designed to help women with HIV/AIDS stick to their treatment plans. The system will send helpful text messages to remind women about important tasks, like taking their medication, going to doctor appointments, and filling prescriptions. It will also provide support to address personal challenges that might affect their care, such as feelings of stigma or distrust in the medical system. The researchers want to find out if this mobile health program is easy for women to use and if it can improve their health.
To participate in this study, women must be at least 18 years old, have a confirmed HIV diagnosis, and have missed medical appointments or not been taking their HIV medications in the past year. Unfortunately, men and women who cannot give consent for themselves, or those without a working cell phone, cannot join. If eligible, participants can expect to receive support through text messages, as well as additional help from trained staff to navigate their care and stay motivated. This could be a great opportunity for women looking for extra support in managing their HIV treatment.
