ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how a specific test called eABR (electrically Evoked Auditory Brainstem Response) can help doctors decide the best approach for patients who need surgery to remove a vestibular schwannoma (a type of tumor on the nerve that helps with balance) and also want to get a cochlear implant to improve their hearing. The researchers want to see if the results of this eABR test during surgery can predict how well patients will hear after the surgery.

If you are between 18 and 99 years old, and you are planning to have surgery for vestibular schwannoma while also considering a cochlear implant for better hearing, you may be eligible to participate in this trial. It's important to know that this study is currently looking for participants. If you decide to join, you will undergo the usual surgical procedures, and the eABR test will be performed during your operation. Your participation could help improve understanding of hearing rehabilitation after this type of surgery, potentially benefiting future patients as well.
