ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how 3D animations and models can help parents and doctors understand a condition called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) in unborn babies. CDH is when there is a hole in the diaphragm, which can cause organs to move into the chest cavity and affect the baby's development. By creating detailed 3D images from routine medical scans, this study aims to show parents what the problem is and help surgeons plan for the baby's care once it is born.
To join this trial, participants need to be pregnant women who are visiting the Jessop Wing Fetal Medicine Unit, and whose unborn baby has been diagnosed with CDH and referred for an MRI scan. The study is looking for women who can understand and give consent to participate and are at least 18 years old. Participants can expect to have their regular scans, and in addition, they will be part of creating these helpful 3D models. It's important to note that women who have certain medical conditions or cannot tolerate MRI scans might not be eligible for the study.
