ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new imaging technique called Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to help diagnose dental issues like tooth decay and damage. OCT is a safe and painless way to take detailed pictures of teeth without using radiation. The study has two parts: one part will track how thick a protective coating on teeth is over time, and the other part will compare certain markers of inflammation in the gums before and after this coating is applied.
To participate in this trial, individuals must need orthodontic treatment and have permission from themselves and their parents or guardians. As a participant, you can expect to undergo some imaging procedures and potentially have your gum health monitored as part of the study. It's an exciting opportunity to help improve dental care while learning more about how OCT can be used in dentistry!
