ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how wearable sensors and video recordings can help track the motor development of infants. Researchers want to create a new way to identify unusual motor behavior in babies, which could be important for those at risk of developmental issues. The study is open to infants under 24 months who might be at risk due to factors like premature birth or other medical conditions, as well as those who are expected to develop normally.
If your child is eligible and you decide to participate, you will be asked to give written consent and follow some study procedures. The study will involve using special devices that can monitor your baby’s movements. It's important to note that if you have twins or multiples, only one baby will be selected randomly to take part. If your baby has any open wounds or certain limb conditions, they won't be able to participate. This research could help improve how we understand and support motor development in young children.

Eligibility criteria
- Inclusion Criteria:
- • Individuals identified as potentially at risk of abnormal motor development due to a risk factor (for example, prematurity, neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, or neonatal stroke) OR control individuals for whom normal motor development is expected.
- • Age: \< 24 months of age
- • Legal guardian able and willing to give written consent and comply with study procedures.
- • In case of multiple pregnancies, only one child selected at random will participate in the research activities. Study staff will have no influence over the selection, besides any known medical condition automatically excluding the baby as listed in our exclusion criteria.
- Exclusion Criteria:
- • Any open wound or skin breakdown on the limbs or upper torso.
- • Missing or incomplete limbs (such as from amputation or congenital limb defects)
- • Legal guardian unable to give written consent and comply with study procedures.
