ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the causes of fatigue that many cancer patients experience, known as Cancer Related Fatigue (CRF), as well as a similar condition called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME). Researchers want to understand the role of different factors, such as the body's metabolism and gut health, in these fatigue conditions. They are also exploring whether probiotics, which are helpful bacteria, might improve these symptoms.
If you are between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a confirmed diagnosis of cancer that requires chemotherapy, you may be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will need to provide written consent to join. However, individuals with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases or those who are pregnant cannot take part in this trial. During the study, you can expect to undergo various tests to help researchers learn more about your condition and its connection to fatigue. Your involvement could contribute to valuable insights that may help future patients dealing with similar issues.
