ClinConnect Summary
The PRESAGE trial is a study designed to understand how patients with stable angina, a condition that causes chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart, are managed and treated in a specialized heart center. Researchers want to learn about the different characteristics of patients, the treatments they receive, and how they do over time. This information will help improve care for people with coronary artery disease, which is a common cause of stable angina.
To participate in this study, you must be diagnosed with stable angina based on your symptoms and be between the ages of 65 and 74. Unfortunately, those with a more serious heart condition called acute coronary syndrome, or anyone younger than 18, cannot join. If you decide to take part, you can expect to share information about your health and treatments, and your progress will be monitored both in the short term and over a longer period. This study aims to help doctors better understand how to treat stable angina effectively.
