ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring new ways to improve the detection of adenomas (a type of polyp that can lead to colorectal cancer) during colonoscopy procedures. Researchers want to see if using a technique called "water exchange" along with a special imaging technology called narrow band imaging (NBI) can help doctors find more adenomas. Water exchange replaces gas with clear water during the procedure, which helps clean the colon and may make it easier to spot any abnormalities.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 40 and 85 years old and able to provide written consent for the procedure. However, people with certain medical histories, like inflammatory bowel disease or previous colorectal cancer, are not eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo a colonoscopy using these methods, and your experience may contribute to improving colon cancer screening techniques for others in the future.
