ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the best way to help women with a specific type of cyst called an endometrioma, which is related to a condition called endometriosis. Endometriomas can affect fertility, and the trial is looking at two approaches: one group of women will have the cyst surgically removed and the ovary stitched up afterward, while the other group will have the cyst removed without any stitches. The goal is to see which method leads to better outcomes for the ovaries.
To be eligible for the trial, women must be between 18 and 45 years old and have one endometrioma that is between 5 and 10 centimeters wide. They should not have had any other surgeries or treatments for endometriosis in the past three months. Participants will undergo laparoscopic surgery, a minimally invasive procedure, and will be monitored to see how well their ovaries function afterward. This study hopes to provide clearer guidance on how to minimize damage to the ovaries during surgery, ultimately helping women who wish to become pregnant.
