ClinConnect Summary
The ONE PATH trial is studying ways to help young children, especially those from low-income families, develop healthy eating habits and manage their appetites. This research focuses on families with preschoolers aged 2 to 6 who are enrolled in Head Start centers. The goal is to provide effective nutrition education to parents and teachers, helping them to support children's growth and prevent obesity. By working with about 760 families across 64 classrooms, the trial aims to create a program that is both effective and easy for families to participate in.
To join the study, children must be enrolled in a participating Head Start center, and their parents or caregivers need to be at least 18 years old and speak English. Participants can expect to learn about healthy eating and feeding practices through activities and support from trained educators. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to use existing community resources to make the program accessible and sustainable for the future.
