ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Markers of Trajectory in Pediatric CRPS," is focused on understanding Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in children aged 10 to 17. CRPS is a painful condition that can affect recovery due to both brain changes and psychosocial factors, like emotional and social influences. The goal of this study is to identify which of these factors can predict how well children recover from CRPS. Researchers will compare children with CRPS who are receiving treatment to healthy peers, to see how their experiences differ.
To participate, children must be between 10 and 17 years old, fluent in English, and diagnosed with CRPS. They will undergo three sessions over time, including brain imaging and questionnaires about their feelings and experiences. Each session lasts about three hours, and their parents will also provide information. This study is currently recruiting participants, so if you think your child might qualify, it could be an opportunity to help researchers learn more about CRPS and improve treatment outcomes for kids facing this condition.
