ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Exploring the Genetics of Neuropathic Pain," aims to find out more about the genetic factors that might contribute to neuropathic pain, a type of pain caused by damage to the nerves. Researchers are looking for new genetic variants that could help understand why some people develop this condition, especially those with distal symmetric polyneuropathy (DSPN), which affects how nerves function in the body.
If you are between 18 and 70 years old and have been referred for evaluation of possible DSPN, you may be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will need to fill out some questionnaires and provide their consent to take part. It's important to know that individuals who are too ill to participate, unable to give consent, or have certain types of nerve damage will not be included in the trial. By joining this study, participants can help researchers gain valuable insights into neuropathic pain, which could lead to better treatments in the future.
