ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a combination of brain stimulation (called tDCS) and cognitive training can improve decision-making and reduce impulsive behavior in people. The researchers want to see if this method helps people make better choices on a specific task called the Iowa Gambling Task and also helps with controlling impulsive actions. They believe that the combined treatment will lead to more positive outcomes than just using a placebo (a fake treatment).
To participate in this study, volunteers need to be between 18 and 40 years old and must be able to give their consent. However, individuals with conditions like epilepsy, certain neurological disorders, a history of serious head injury, substance misuse, major mental health issues, or those taking specific psychiatric medications cannot join. Participants can expect to take part in sessions involving brain stimulation and cognitive exercises, and they will be closely monitored throughout the trial. If you're interested in improving decision-making skills and reducing impulsivity, this trial might be a good opportunity for you.
