ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new imaging technique called photoacoustic imaging to see how it can help us better understand breast tissues in women with breast cancer and in healthy women. This method uses a combination of light and sound to create images of the breast, which may provide more detailed information than traditional mammograms, especially for women with dense breast tissue. The trial is currently looking for participants, specifically women aged 65 to 74 who have suspicious breast masses or confirmed breast cancer that hasn't been surgically removed.
To be eligible for the trial, participants should be women who have undergone or will undergo a breast MRI. However, there are some exclusions, such as pregnant women, individuals who have had breast implants in the last six months, or those who can't give consent. Participants can expect to undergo some imaging procedures and help researchers learn more about how this new technique may improve breast cancer detection and diagnosis in the future. It's important to note that this study does not offer direct benefits to participants, but their involvement could contribute to advancements in breast cancer care.
