ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different treatments for vocal nodules in adult women, which are small growths on the vocal cords that can cause voice problems. The study is comparing intralesional steroid injections, which are shots given directly into the nodules to help reduce inflammation, with voice therapy using the Accent method, a specialized technique that helps improve voice quality. The goal is to find out which treatment is more effective for helping women who struggle with voice issues due to vocal nodules.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be women between the ages of 18 and 55 who have been diagnosed with specific types of vocal nodules. They should have normal speaking and hearing abilities and must not have had previous voice therapy or surgery for their condition. Participants can expect to receive one of the two treatments and will be monitored throughout the trial to see how well they respond. This study is currently recruiting, so if you or someone you know fits the criteria and is interested, it could be a good opportunity to help improve management of vocal nodules.
