ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to screen for sleep disorders in children with cerebral palsy (CP), a condition that affects movement and coordination. Sleep problems are common in children with CP—almost 40% experience them—but many are not regularly checked for these issues. The researchers believe that using connected technologies can help identify which children need more in-depth testing for sleep disorders, allowing for better diagnosis and treatment.
To participate in this trial, children must be between 6 and 15 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of cerebral palsy. They should also have a specific level of mobility challenges, as indicated by their Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) score. Parents must agree to their child's participation. During the study, participants will be monitored using connected tools to help gather information about their sleep patterns. This trial is currently recruiting, and it aims to improve how sleep disorders are identified and managed in young patients with cerebral palsy.
