ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new device called the Constant Pressure Skin Disk (CPSD), which is part of a feeding tube used for patients who need assistance with eating. The researchers want to find out if this new skin disk can help patients heal better and reduce any complications related to feeding tube placement. The trial is currently looking for participants who are at least 22 years old and are scheduled to have a PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) or PEJ (Percutaneous Endoscopic Jejunostomy) tube placed.
To take part in this study, you must not have any history of tobacco or illegal drug use in the past year, nor have had a previous feeding tube or certain types of gastric surgery. If you decide to participate, you will help researchers learn more about how the CPSD works and its effects on healing. This trial aims to improve the care of patients who need feeding tubes, making the process safer and more effective.
